Pine Rivers hosts annual Gateball teams and doubles tournament

On the weekend of the 12th and 13th of September, Pine Rivers Croquet Club held its annual Gateball Teams and Doubles Tournament. The tournament was a great success, with seven teams and 12 doubles teams entering.

The winners of the teams event were Moreton Bay Gateball Club and the runners-up were Cambridge. Congratulations to both teams. The Teams Wooden Spoon Trophy went to the Pine Rivers Teal Team.

The winners of the doubles were Emma and Warren from Moreton Bay and the runners-up were Philip and Robert from Eildon. Congratulations to all four. The Doubles Wooden Spoon Trophy went to Ian and Frank from Cambridge and Pine Rivers.

I’d like to thank James from Pine Rivers for looking after and entering all the scores into Gateball scores; thank you James, you did a great job.

To the members of our club, thank you for your support with food, raffle prizes, and helping in the kitchen to keep the food coming for the players. You all did a wonderful job and did our club proud.
