QUT Sport and the School of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences are running a free Performance Under Pressure Workshop on Monday 6 July, and it's open to anyone who coaches or competes. That includes croquet.
Pressure training is about building the skills to perform when it counts: the hoop you have to run to win, the lawn where everyone is watching. The presenters work in high-performance sport, and they'll share practical strategies and real examples that coaches and players can use to design their own pressure-training drills.
Leading the session is Associate Professor Adam Gorman, a skill acquisition specialist at QUT and a former Senior Skill Acquisition Specialist at the Australian Institute of Sport. He has worked across a range of Olympic sports, from grassroots to elite level.
The workshop suits coaches, competitive players, sport scientists and anyone keen to lift their game when the pressure is on. It's interactive, and it's free.
