ur resident magpie had wisely claimed the driest seat, perched high atop a metal pole surveying its flooded kingdom.

Across the creek, a busy squadron on ibises aka bin chickens enthusiastically peobed the soaked turf for hidden treats while a huddle of ducks deligted by the conditions that humans would describe as "completely unplayable"!

Nearby, a lone bird wandered amongst the puddles searching for a feed.

Play suspended at Wynnum after week of heavy rain

After a week of rain, play at the club has come to a complete standstill. Instead of players lining up careful shots the grounds were dotted with huge pools of water as the sodden lawns finally surrendered and could absorb no more.
