Windsor reintroduces Ricochet and hosts Edinburgh Gardens visitors

Windsor Croquet Club has reintroduced Ricochet Croquet as a playing option for members. The club described Ricochet as a stepping stone to Association Croquet and a game of strategy and long distance shots that sharpens accuracy skills in any croquet code.

A small and keen group of members is learning the game. Windsor welcomes like-minded visitors who would like to play Ricochet on its well-tended lawns. Games are played from 10am to 12 midday on Wednesday and Saturday mornings during winter, and from 12 midday to 2.30pm in the warmer months.

Edinburgh Gardens Croquet Club members visited Windsor to enjoy a game on the greens. On behalf of the visiting club, Chris presented one of his club's shirts to Windsor captain Max, who thanked the visitors. Chris said Edinburgh Gardens is in Fitzroy North, Melbourne, and began during Covid when people wanted something to do in the fresh air. The club has continued since then.

The eight visitors enjoyed a BBQ lunch before the games. Some were croquet players and many were former rugby players, and they were also in town to watch the Wallabies v British and Irish Lions.
