Tweed Heads opens its new clubhouse and upgrades irrigation

Tweed Heads picked up from the previous newsletter by wishing everyone a happy Christmas and a good new year. The club is sadly farewelling a number of members who, due to age, health or because the club no longer has enough players interested in Ricochet or Association Croquet, have either given up playing or moved to another club.

The official Council opening of the new clubhouse was held on 15 January. It was attended by Geoff Provest, the club's Patron and National Party MP, the Hon Janelle Saffin MP, Minister for Small Business, Minister for Recovery & North Coast, and Tweed Shire Council representatives.

A fun morning was had by all, and if President Janet has her way, the club may even have recruited a couple of new members.

Tweed Heads was also fortunate to receive a NSW Government Community Building Partnerships Grant to replace its fast-failing irrigation system. That work has now all but been completed. President Janet and Secretary Danae wished happy hooping to all.
