Toombul hosts AC CAQ Open Doubles and welcomes new members

Toombul is finishing the year off nicely with another 6 new members. We held the AC CAQ Open Doubles on the 19th -20th Nov. Play was very tight, very close games. The winners were Lindsay David and Kathie Grant, with the runners up Tom and Heather Knight. Greg Bury and Don Close came very close, as they also won four games, but it was the hoops that did it!! Addison did the presentation, and what a lovely presentation is was. He chatted very precisely about the winning games and was very much at home in doing so. What an asset to Croquet. Thanks to you Addison. Thanks to Willy, Cynthia and Greg Kerswell for Reffing and Wayne and Caroline for hoop setting. The Golf Development Squad will be at the club on the 4th December and the A/C Squad on the 3rd. It’s quite a busy little time we are having. We have a couple of parties in the offing and we’ll be donating $1000 to the RBWH in the next week or so. Hope everyone has a very happy Festive season with no illness!!
