During the last three months, Sunnyside Croquet Club members have played in competitions between players from other clubs as well as competitions within the club. The CAQ Association Singles Div 3 and 4 held at Bundaberg Croquet Club was won by Darryl Bell of Sunnyside.

The CAQ Golf Croquet Handicap plus 6 Doubles Competition held at Bundaberg Croquet Club resulted in Rae Bell and Caroline Lines as runners-up.

In the Margaret Webley Event at Bundaberg Croquet Club, the winners of the Ricochet doubles were Ian Johnson Sunnyside and Rob Roose of Eildon Club. Graham Rudd SS and his partner Kath Beverly were runners-up in the Golf doubles competition. Judy Williams SS and Ros Crowe (Eildon) won Block C. The Ricochet doubles events at the Hervey Bay Gala resulted in Darryl Bell and Rae Bell as runners-up.

In the Wide Bay Burnett Regional Pennants competition for Golf and Ricochet, Sunnyside was runner up again.

Results for the doubles competition at Sunnyside Croquet Club sponsored by the Lakes Retirement Village were: Association winners, Darryl Bell and Judy Williams; Ricochet winners, Darryl Bell and Carmel Kroning; Golf croquet, Darryl Bell and Janet Peisker.

It is great to see our new members competing in the competitions and getting to know players from other clubs.

The club championships for the three codes have been played and the awards for this will be presented at the AGM later this year.

To help with fundraising our members are busy preparing for a plant sale that will be held at Sunnyside Croquet Club on Saturday 12th November from 7.00am until midday.
