Stephens takes the Friendship Trophy, and Jeremy Tasker wins the inaugural Ipswich Challenge

Ipswich Friendship Trophy

In 2021 Ipswich and Stephens cemented their friendship through the creation of a Friendship Trophy. In its inaugural year Ipswich successfully got their name on the trophy, and in 2023 Stephens took home the prize, by 3 hoop points.

A lot of fun was had by all over the 3 games played, reminding everyone on the day that it's not necessarily about who wins or loses, but it's always about the spirit of the game on the day.

Inaugural Ipswich Challenge

October 29 saw the Inaugural Ipswich Challenge being held at Ipswich Club with 8 players competing. All played well and some fantastic play was seen by players and spectators alike. The battle for first place came down to Sidney Bates from Ipswich and Jeremy Tasker from Stephens, with Jeremy taking out first on even games and only one hoop over Sidney. Congratulations Jeremy on a very well-played Challenge and credit to Sidney for playing so well despite feeling very unwell. Jannene Wall took third place.

A big thank you to all the players and spectators alike who made the day most enjoyable and to the referees who gave up their time to make sure everything was in order. Also, a big thanks to Geraldine Trivett for Managing for the day enabling Jannene to compete.
