Stephens celebrates 102 years and strong Association Croquet results

There is always something happening at Stephens. The club plays all year round, including under lights on Tuesday evenings, and welcomes both Association Croquet and Golf Croquet players. Recent sunsets have been spectacular.

New members have joined the club, the club has survived a couple of hail storms and Stephens has celebrated 102 years of croquet in Yeronga Memorial Park. The courts are playing well and the club is trialling Gateball from 4pm on Mondays.

To finish 2025, several members travelled to Melbourne for various events. Chris Borlase capped off a year of excellent Association Croquet results by winning the Australian Open Doubles with Mike Gidding from Ballina, and by reaching the semi-finals in the Open Singles.

December brought the club's usual triple-barrel celebration of the year just enjoyed: the Annual General Meeting, the Awards Presentation with Club Patron Cr Nicole Johnston, and a fantastic High Tea.
