Rockhampton wins its annual Gateball teams competition

Our Club has been in Gateball mode in preparation for our Annual Tournament. We welcomed 7 teams from throughout Queensland and one player from Canberra. We were very excited to win the Teams competition and Robert Roose from Eildon and his partner Peter Wood from Canberra were the winners of the Doubles. Our next task will be to prepare our grounds for the State Gateball Championships in August.

At Southport’s MSOB Gateball Competition for Doubles, Cheryl and Steve Kele won the Round Robin for their Block. They played in the semifinals and were placed 3rd overall Club competitions are continuing, with our next event being the Capricornia Trophy for Ricochet doubles. We look forward to hosting our friends from other Clubs and hope some of our new players will take the opportunity to play in their first competition. Cheryl Kele
