The site that will replace croquetqld.org is built and online at caq-preview.croquetwade.com

It is not live, and the current croquetqld.org is untouched. Before the changes we want clubs and members to go through it and have their say. It is a draft. There may be mistakes remaining, if you spot one, tell us.

How to give feedback

At the top of every page there is a maroon bar. Put your email address in and press Get my link.

The site reopens with commenting switched on, and the same link is emailed to you so you can come back to it later.

Then right-click on anything you want to talk about. A heading, a paragraph, a photo, a phone number. Type your comment and it stays attached to that exact spot.

Tell us what works as well as what does not. Both are useful, and neither takes long.

The link lets you comment and nothing else. You can't change the page and won't break anything.

One catch: it needs a computer with a mouse or trackpad. Right-click has no equivalent on a phone or an iPad, so on those the page will ask you to come back on a computer.

What is on the page

Five different people arrive at the front page, and each band is built for one of them.

The come and try finder is for someone who has never played. Postcode in, nearest clubs and their session times out, then straight through to nominate.

The events band is for the competitive player, with live entry status pulled from the tournament calendar.

Policies and Documents is for members after a form or the minutes. Coming soon is for club committees, and points at the expanded ClubHub. About and the numbers are there for councils, sponsors and search engines.
