Nambour's Saint Patrick's Gala Day decided by a coin toss, and a Pam Shepherd Plate for Nigel Jamieson

Considering the erratic weather over the last few months, Nambour Croquet Club was blessed with a sunny day for its annual Saint Patrick's Gala Day on the 17th March. President Bill Habner organised three aptly named teams - Shamrocks, Leprechauns and Shillelaghs with six games to play during the morning and afternoon. The team winners were the team who scored the most hoops in all six games with an individual player winner who scored the most hoops in all six games. There was plenty of green to be seen and lots of lovely food for morning and afternoon tea.

The club was decorated with Irish flags, tables had flyers of Irish themes and Irish music played during the day.

WHO WON????

After considerable calculations the Leprechauns and the Shamrocks had the same points, solved by the toss of a coin. The Leprechauns winning the toss. Each player receiving a large block of chocolate. The individual player with most hoops was a tie again - with Mick and Rhonda scoring 41 and a bottle of wine each. A great day was had by all and sincere thanks to all who helped make it so.
