Murwillumbah secures a renovation grant, and the Margaret Mitchell Doubles is a success

The long awaited grant from NSW government's local small commitment Allocation program is finally official. This was announced by member for Lismore Janelle Saffin who joined club members for afternoon tea early March. The monies will be spent on long awaited renovations namely window realignment and further painting.

The annual Margaret Mitchell Association Handicap Mixed Doubles Tournament was held March 13th to 15th and managed by Joy Hughes. The winners were Malcolm Campbell and Chris Parker from BH/PB club. Ray Chapman and Phyllis Walter from Cherry Street Ballina came in second place. Trophies were presented by sponsors Libby and Lisa from McGuiness Funerals in Murwillumbah. Many thanks to all our sponsors of this memorial event and seen here below in the photos.

Seniors week has brought three very interested members from our community to come and try. Looking forward to pennant season. Happy hooping everyone.
