Over 4 days of play on the courts there were 2 events which entailed 16 games played. Each day Wayne was at the courts to prepare them for the day's events. Various members sorted the tables, drinks, umbrellas and so on. Juliet was there every morning to ensure morning teas and lunch orders were organized and volunteers helped with providing delicious soups and sandwiches. The club thanks them all for the wonderful job they did.

Event 1: Ladies Open Level play

There were 4 players in this event. The same draw played both days. Winners were Heather Knight (Stephens), runner-up Donna Manning (Range/Maleny).

Event 14: MADD Event Advanced Handicap Mixed Doubles

Five couples played in this event as a round robin. This was a busy two days and the club was pleased to have some of its players participating. The club was all impressed by the standard of play.

Winners: Sharon Langston and Wayne McFie (Coolangatta/Murwillumbah). Runners up: Gillian and Peter Martin.

Thanks to all the members who helped to ensure the smooth running of the events. Players expressed their enjoyment of the days played at Murwillumbah.

The club invested in new signage and it's very eye catching. There have already been several inquiries and new people trying out the game of golf. A NDIS group attended the courts for a recreational outing.

At the minute there are several ill members from the club and the club's best wishes for a speedy recovery go to President Val, Secretary Jan, Barbara Workman, Val Bell, Edward Johal and Kay Thomson.

Condolences go to the family and friends of member Di Watson who passed away recently.

Club members are participating in club competitions in all codes. The lawns will be sprayed for weeds (a result of the floods) and the lawns fertilized ready for new spring growth in the next few weeks. The upcoming Ricochet tournament to be held 9-11th August is the next big event on the calendar.
