Merthyr reflects on a busy 2022 and a pennant win

A non-exhaustive list of some Merthyr club highlights from 2022: - Two Golf Pennants Seasons (Div 2 & 3) - One Association Pennants Season (Merthyr/Toombul as winners!) - February Floods - Member BBQ + New Golf Rules session in July - New club member mallets procured (10x wooden) - New chairs procured (~40x blue) - Building, fire, lawn & irrigation audits completed - Sports lighting did not get grant money funded; hopefully next year! - Clubhouse Custodian and Lawn Coordinator roles realised - Thanks Kevin & Andrew! - Councillor's Cup 2022 played at Windsor (Close match, they won) - Merthyr 2022 XYZ Golf tournament (Congrats X: Alastair; Y: Nik; Z: Carol!) - ABC News visited and talked politics with our XYZ champ. - Many public events hosted at our premises (Thanks Sue as Events Coordinator) - Lots of coaching sessions for new & veteran players (Thanks Greg as Club Captain) - An excellent group of executive & committee members who help make it all happen! - A wonderful lot of club members who keep the club spirit thriving.
