Hervey Bay welcomes CaCh Events tour, Peter Spinks runner-up at Bundaberg, and Lynn Bray wins at Bribie Island
Hervey Bay Croquet Club hosts a return visit from CaCh Events and Tours, sees Peter Spinks place runner-up at the CAQ Centenary Ricochet Doubles in Bundaberg, and Lynn Bray win Division 3 at Bribie Island.
Like all other Croquet Clubs, the Hervey Bay Croquet Club is back in full swing gearing-up for another busy, rewarding (and sometimes, frustrating!!) year on the croquet lawns.
The Club hosted a return visit from the Social Club connected with CaCh Events and Tours on Saturday, 11 March. Twenty-four very enthusiastic folk (many returnees) enjoyed receiving instruction in the basics of the game. They then played two games before a BBQ tea and concluded the 'day' with a very enjoyable game under lights in the cool of the evening. Club members appreciate the hospitality afforded by other Clubs and very much enjoy competing in tournaments and competitions organized by these Clubs.

Bribie Island was the venue for an Association tournament. Lynn Bray (on the right) was winner (Division 3) and Jenny Campbell as consolation winner.

Croquet on the Bay
Hervey Bay Croquet Club's Three Code Tournament, Croquet on the Bay, is set down for 05 to 11 August. A date claimer was sent recently and entry forms etc will be available in early June. We invite you to have 'a whale of a time' at this year's Croquet on the Bay. (August is whale-watching season, it would be very wise to make an early booking for accommodation).
