Meet Daryl and Jackie on the right! Two of our Club's dedicated members, Daryl and Jackie Morskate suggested and volunteered to organise a Ricochet Singles Shield Competition to be held four times a year at the Hervey Bay Croquet Club. The inaugural event was held on March 28 and was declared by all to be a resounding success. We applaud Daryl and Jackie's enterprising spirit and their awesome organisational skills.

The second event was scheduled for 6 June and was fully subscribed. Look out for future competitions which will be held every three months at the Hervey Bay Croquet Club.

Hervey Bay Quarterly Ricochet Singles Shield. The inaugural event attracted competitors from across the region. Four players competed on each of four courts and the winners of each court are shown in the photos below.

Meet Pam! Pam Nicol is our Club Captain and represents the interests of players on our Membership Committee. In this role, she also co-ordinates with Code Captains and coaches, supports new players and members and promotes understanding of code rules and court etiquette. While these responsibilities would be more than enough for most, Pam is also the force behind the club's annual Croquet on the Bay tournament. This tournament attracts competitors from across the state and beyond with the promise of a winter break in beautiful Hervey Bay together with substantial prize money due to Pam's ability to secure sponsorship. Pam modestly pays credit to all the other members of the club who contribute to the tournament's success, preparing the courts, administration and catering, but it is Pam who fronts the event and who deserves recognition, gratitude and admiration for her efforts.

Croquet on the Bay: Our Club's very popular week-long tournament is on again from August 15 to 21st. The tournament starts off with Association, followed by Ricochet and concluding with Golf.
