As I missed previous edition, there are a few important past events to mention.

Australia Day: A fun time was had with a good roll up enjoying all the many games associated with the day, including the great Dunny Roll Race and Thong Throwing.

Inter club competitions:

Members Russell Robinson, Helen & Ross Rillie competed in Wynnum's Metropolitan Challenge GC Doubles on 4th Feb. Wynnum club were gracious hosts, well run and with high standard of play was enjoyed by all involved.

Visiting Groups: Over many years the club has hosted groups from a variety of backgrounds. Some of those since last newsletter contribution were NDIS StriveAbility support Services who returned for a second visit, Swim Australia, a 30th Birthday party, and Family members Christmas activity.

GC Coaching: Ross Rillie gained his Level 3 coaching accreditation. While Gordon Matthews, John Tusler and Helen Rillie were reaccredited for Level 2.

Nationals preparations: These are well underway under the guidance of the Steering Committee. Even the centre pegs have had a facelift! Gardens and surrounds having their usual trims etc. Terry Ericson gave his second lawn assessment which we passed with a good report.

SCRCC GC RC & AC Pennants: All underway in a shortened version due to preparing for hosting of Nationals by the Sunshine Coast region.

ACA President's Eights: Members Helen & Ross Rillie invitational nominations accepted and travelled to Cairnlea Victoria to compete in their various blocks.

CAQ Women & Men's Singles: Members Helen Rillie, Ross Rillie and Russell Robinson all competed in these events making it through to the knock outs.

CAQ GC Squad: Members Helen & Ross Rillie are members of the squad who have been in training under coach Terry Ericson at Windsor Croquet Club.

Volunteers: Special rare breed not found abundantly, but without, clubs would surely close. Treasure those you have.
