Eildon players brave Tasmania weather and keep pennants moving
Eildon reports Easter play in Tasmania, pennants results, Division 3 GC Championships and postponed Men’s Singles Championships.
April was not friendly to regular croquet play, with weather, Easter and ANZAC Day disrupting sessions. A number of Eildon players spent Easter in Tasmania at the Northern Tasmania Easter GC Event.
Desley, Mike and Jill played in the Singles Open Division. Desley won six out of nine, Mike won four games and Jill won three. Kathy played in Division 3 and won four out of eight. In Handicap Doubles, Desley and Mike won five games, as did Jill and Dolly in Block A, while Lorraine and Robert won six games and Maggie and Kathy won three in Block B. None of the pairs won their blocks, but the players enjoyed the wet, windy challenge and the social side after play.

The Division 3 pennants games were played against Merthyr, with Eildon winning 6 games to 4. The Association Pennants team of Paula, Les, Keith and Louise travelled to Toombul and was beaten 2 games to 1.
