Eildon hosts the CAQ Open Golf Doubles and competes across all codes
Eildon hosts and competes in a packed season of Golf, Association and Gateball competitions, and recognises Megan Stuart's volunteering award.
The past few months have been chock full of competitions in all codes. To name just a few:
- the CAQ Open Golf Doubles was hosted by Eildon on 25 & 26 March. Winners were Arthur Graf (Eildon) and Sidney Bates (Ipswich). Winners of the Plate were Addison Matthews and Tim Wright. - CAQ Open Singles, played at Wynnum saw several Eildon players competing, with Bob Martin runner up for the Championship and Jenee Molyneux through to the final of the Plate (scheduled for July). - Eildon was also well represented at the Australian GC Open Singles (Cairnlea Victoria), and the ACA GC Bronze Medal, won by Mary McMahon (Southport), with Wade Hart (Eildon) runner up. - In the AC Eights played at Toombul, the club was again well represented by Les Watson, Wade Hart and Keith Williamson. - In Gateball, the Eildon teams were very competitive in the recent Moreton Bay Teams Tournament.

On a local level, the Eildon Ray White Woody Point Sunday Singles Series is proving to be very popular. Players who are interested in playing in one of the 4 blocks (based on handicap) are encouraged to watch our website or contact the club. In Metropolitan Pennants, Eildon has also been very busy, fielding at least one team in each code played. These tournaments are a great way for the newer and developing players to take part in inter-club competitions.
Eildon continues to offer social and competitive play in Association, Gateball, Golf and Ricochet croquet. With over 70 members, and growing, the Club has a range of activities designed to help players develop their skills and tactics, while enjoying the company of their fellow members. On the social side, the Clubs' Social Subcommittee organises a range of activities, from pizza & play and card nights, to a special gala celebrating World Croquet Day (and the Coronation of Charles III) on May 6.
