David Scott backs up for NSW, and Wendy Gilmore wins her maiden title

David Scott recently played in the Australian Men's Golf Croquet Championships in Perth finishing a creditable 14th out of a field of 50 players. David was one of two NSW players to make it through to the last 16. He then backed up to play in the NSW State Golf Croquet Team and was successful, NSW taking the Shield. This was David's 3rd year running being selected to play for NSW.

A reward that is fully justified for him. He is very dedicated to Croquet and playing at the highest level.

A relatively newcomer to the Cherry Street Croquet Club, Wendy Gilmore, recently played in the Sutherland Intercept Adv Golf Croquet Singles and Doubles. Wendy was successful in the C Block Singles taking 1st place and 3rd in the E Doubles with partner Terrie Welsh.

This was Wendy's maiden title win and by the looks of it, more will follow in the near future.

Helen Young gained a 2nd in the B Singles and Jim Hannigan a 3rd. Christine Edlund gained a 2nd in the E Doubles with partner Haggen Krussser. Joan Doust and Rosalie Offley also played but were unsuccessful this tournament.
