Despite the terribly wet season, Coolangatta was not badly affected and managed to play on most days. Thankfully Friday mornings allowed the mowing man to get the courts mown.

On Tuesday 10 May, the club held its Annual Golf Birthday event. Due to the threat of further bad weather, it was held on the one day instead of the usual two, with 45 minute games. The day was won by Brian Lebihan and Peter Dunn from Tweed Heads Croquet Club, pocketing the $100 first prize.

Runners up were Bob and Merle Neate from Broadbeach, pocketing $50.

A good fun day was had by all. It will be held again in May 2023.

A successful Bunnings BBQ was held recently, raising always needed funds for the club.

Dave Luxmoore won the State Men's Open Bronze Medal again and Yuni Rowell won the State Women's Open for the third time. Yuni travelled to Sydney to play in the NSW Women's AC Championship and was placed 3rd. They also represented Queensland in the Eire cup. Congratulations to them both.

Coming up in June, Coolangatta will represent the GCTHR in Association and Ricochet at the CAQ Centenary Tournaments. June will be a very busy month with the Border Shield also being held at THCC on the 22nd.
