Although no silverware this time all players did exceptionally well with many close results at the tournament. Christine Edlund, Wendy Gilmore, Christine Mahoney, Graham Mahoney, Dennise Simmons represented both Cherry Street and Byron Bay.
Some members from the Northern Rivers travelled to Norfolk Island for a short holiday and games of Croquet in the Convicts Cup. Christine Edlund and Jim Hannigan finished 3rd in their blocks with June Cox 5th being the best of the locals. This was enjoyed by all that travelled and some interesting stories came to air on their return.
Australian Open Men's Golf Croquet Singles. David Scott & Werner Borkhardt were our sole representatives finishing a well deserved equal 13th and 25th respectively in a very hot field of 56 players from all States. Werner was successful in winning the Challenge KO Y Division Championship. David then backed up representing NSW in the Interstate Golf Croquet Challenge Shield played at the Sunshine Coast.
