Broadbeach settles into winter play times and Wednesday night dinners

Greetings from Broadbeach, where players are continuing to enjoy their time on the court.

Association Croquet is being played on Saturday mornings, with other times on Tuesday and Thursday. Most playing times should be available on the Broadbeach Club website.

Golf Croquet is on Monday mornings, commencing between 8.30 and 9.00am. Broadbeach has teams entered in this year's pennant competition, and players are enjoying the contest between the Gold Coast Tweed Heads clubs taking part.

Membership is steady, with some visitors to the Gold Coast coming along to play and learn the skills. Broadbeach is now playing with Quadway hoops, keeping the club in line with sister clubs in the GCTR for competition.

Wednesday night dinners are proving popular. The catering crew and providore are offering special menus, and club members are really supporting the initiative.

On Wednesday 5 June, Annette Gatland is hosting a dinner for members as she celebrates receiving her citizenship on the same day. Annette has been looking forward to becoming an Aussie.

The cooler weather has brought a change in start times on Wednesday and Saturday. Afternoon play on both days now commences at 2.00pm.
