Broadbeach farewells Edna Laurie and returns familiar faces to the committee

Broadbeach has farewelled Edna Laurie from playing croquet due to failing eyesight. Edna and her late husband were stalwarts of CAQ Broadbeach and supported the club through good times and not so good times for many years. The Association Croquet members gave Edna a morning tea for her last official day, though members expect to still see her at the club from time to time.

The Annual General Meeting was held recently, with familiar faces returning to key roles. Alan Edwards remains President, Sandra Edwards continues as Secretary and Jim Gardiner continues as Treasurer. Bob Neate is Club Captain. Members are satisfied with the roles each will play in keeping Broadbeach a good place to play and enjoy camaraderie.
