Bribie's courts reopened in excellent condition after being closed for two weeks. Rhys had done a fantastic job bringing them up to standard, while members kept playing elsewhere at Caloundra, Eildon and other club competitions.

On Wednesday the 30th of October, members marked the reopening with a tasty BBQ after play, with plenty of laughter and camaraderie.

On Saturday the 3rd of November the club held a Gala Day, welcoming players from Windsor, Maroochydore, Headland Buderim, East Brisbane and Eildon, along with Bribie members. The day featured 6 games of 40 minutes, with partners changing after 2 games.

Morning tea was popular as usual, especially with Jan's famous sausage rolls. Players had two games before morning tea, two before lunch and two after lunch. Bribie weather was perfect, with blue skies, sunshine and a light breeze, and the forecast shower did not arrive.

The event was enjoyed by everyone and succeeded thanks to the members who helped with food, the courts and organisation. Everyone played well, and the newsletter shared photos of the winners and contestants.
