Bribie Bunch in Hervey Bay

Yes, that is what the Tournament Manager in Hervey Bay called us: the "Bribie Bunch!" This is probably because a group of Bribie Island Croquet Club players go each year to the 4-day event in Hervey Bay. Members of many clubs all descend on Hervey Bay for this event, which is very good.

Ten members of Bribie Club went off to play. Some stayed in the same apartments, some took caravans, but it was great to meet up after a hard day's playing for a nice meal and a few drinks. Bribie players entered in both the singles and doubles competitions.

There were some very, very good players entering, so the competition is tough. However, Bribie players represented our club excellently. Kathy Vincent got through to the singles semi-final. Dolly and Sandy got through to the semi-finals in the doubles. They all did very well to get to that point, but Rikki did even better, winning the finals in her block for the singles.
