1st Draft of the 2027 Fixture List: Open for Public Comment

This is the first public draft of the 2027 CAQ events calendar. It is not final. It may change based on your feedback.

We are putting it out now so we can hear from players and clubs before the final dates are locked in.

The highlight of 2027 is that the Association Nationals come to Brisbane in March: the Men's and Women's Singles from 13 to 16 March, and the Eire Cup from 17 to 21 March.

Association Croquet formed a committee outside of CAQ events and set their dates as a firm requirement. So those AC events were the first to lock in and every other event was arranged around them.

Major club competitions were avoided. Nothing is scheduled during MSOB, Stephens Easter Carnival or the new Redcliffe Carnival.

No medal or championship falls on a public-holiday long weekend. The one exception is GC Men's Open Singles, run as a four-day event over the Labour Day long weekend.

Most venues are not allocated yet, so read TBC. Nominations are open for your club to host a major tournament and bring top level play to your lawns.

A few things are still open, and comment is welcome on any of them:

The spread of events. A request this year was to space the Golf Croquet events out rather than bunch them.

Leaving long weekends croquet free. Feedback wasn't positive on losing so many long weekends to croquet last year. Are more long weekends for you, and less for croquet a good thing?

The calendar is below. Have a read, then leave a comment on the calendar at the bottom. You can post anonymously, or add your name when you reply.
