2026 Eildon GC Handicap Doubles competition starts Tuesday

The 2026 Eildon GC Handicap Doubles competition is due to start next Tuesday, 4th August, from 10:30am(ish), with games continuing over several Tuesdays until all teams have played each other.

Thanks to those teams who have entered. The field is looking good!

We still have room for more competitors. If anyone else is interested, please register online by 5pm tomorrow afternoon, or let me know and I will organise this for you.

This year we are going to be playing a version of Advantage GC. Some will already be familiar with this, or have played it in the past. To make the game fair, each team is assigned a target hoop score for each game, based on their handicap and that of their opponents. The stronger side will need to score more hoops than their weaker opponents, but it is not necessarily first to 7.

The important thing to note is that players do not need to do anything more than play their usual game in order to win their side's target number of hoops, record their score as they play (using clips), and play hoops in order, until one side achieves their target score.
