The Twin Rivers Challenge was finally played in October after being much delayed by the advent of Covid-19.
Ten players from Wynnum Croquet Club challenged ten players from Twin Waters Croquet Club for the honour of having their club name engraved on a shiny silvery platter. Five 45-minute rounds were to be played to decide the winning team.
After Round 1, Wynnum were leading the challenge 3 games to Twin Rivers' 2 games. Wynnum slowly increased their lead to the ultimate winning conclusion. Go Wynnum!
Wynnum won the right to have the club's name engraved for the fifth time since the challenge's inception in 2016. Next year it is hoped that the challenge will be held at Twin Rivers' home ground.
Thanks to all participants and our helpers.
