Wynnum volunteers tackle garden working bee

he day started early with 12 volunteers ready to take on the task of weeding, tidying up the garden beds and cutting back the overgrown trees and shrubs. With the recent rains we have had, the trees seemed to have sprouted, so it was time for a "trim".

Many barrowloads and armfuls of off-cuts were taken out through the gate to where a trailer was parked. It was loaded to the hilt with branches, then duly taken to the tip.

It only took a couple of hours, but the end result was pleasing. It was so good to see so many members come along to help when the call went out. A huge thank you must go to all the wonderful volunteers. Another thank you to Pam and Ann for their catering, which was very much appreciated.
