Wynnum pair wins Golf Doubles final at Graceville
Three Wynnum players took part in the Golf Doubles at Graceville on 18th March. Gordon Giles and Geoff Hull won their block and then the final 6-5.
ynnum Croquet Club was represented by three players in the Golf Doubles held at Graceville on 18th March.
Richard Pickvance formed a strong partnership with Penny Jackson (McIlwraith) and they were difficult to beat. Their game against Gordon Giles and Geoff Hull went to the 13th hoop and could have gone either way.
Gordon and Geoff won all the games in their block, and took on Peter Nicholson and Danni Dettmar in a tough final. It wasn't pretty to watch, but the result went the Wynnum players' way, 6-5.
Well done to Gordon and Geoff.
