Wynnum pair wins Golden Mallet at Southport

The Golden Mallet competition was held at Southport Croquet Club on Sunday 27th April.

Advantage play was a challenge, but it worked out at the end of the day. The weather was perfect, and the 3 courts ran well. Southport was very keen to retain the title, however Wynnum members had other plans.

Wynnum was well represented by Lisa Weightman, Sue Anderson, and Brian and Viv Tidmarsh. It was the first competition for Sue and Lisa, who played very well.

The winners of the Golden Mallet were Wynnum members Brian and Viv. We congratulate them for a very successful win. It was a fantastic result. Well done to you all.
