Wynnum pair runners-up at Golden Mallet Golf Croquet

Southport Croquet Club hosted the Golden Mallet Golf Croquet Competition on Sunday 30 April.

Winners were Malcolm Campbell and Chris Parker from BHPB Club. Runners-up were Ann Brooks and Viv Tidmarsh from Wynnum Club.

The tournament was run using the 'Advantage' system of handicap. A little confusing at first, but once played it all became clearer.

It was a beautiful Gold Coast day, sunny with no rain, and the lawn was running very fast. There were two blocks of play, and the competition was good with players from several clubs.

We were delighted to win our block and get to the final, and we gave it our best shot, but there can only be one winner.
