Wynnum night lights switched on again after grant

fter several years of not being able to play "under lights" on a Thursday evening, we were thrilled to receive a grant from the Queensland Government Sports and Recreation Infrastructure Recovery Fund to have our night lights made operational again.

President John led the way in obtaining these funds when he was our club treasurer. He submitted the application with all the correct information, enabling us to be successful.

On Thursday 28th January we celebrated with a glass of champagne, and our Life Member Phyllis flicked the switch for the first time, turning night into day (almost). It was with a huge cheer that Phyllis also hit the first ball under lights, and then continued with others to have a very pleasant social game.
