superb Working Bee

Club members were asked to attend the club at 7am this morning to assist with some gardening, and they turned up in droves! Eighteen members came along, armed with appropriate clothing and a huge supply of garden tools they brought from home.

Trees were pruned back or cut down, trailer loads of branches were taken to the dump, weeds and excess bushes were cleared out, vines were cleaned up and mulch was spread, making the club gardens so much tidier and prettier.

The weather was ideal, albeit a little on the warm side, but everyone rallied together and made a "special force" of gardeners, each with their own little section of garden. The old saying "many hands make light work" was certainly true today.

Thanks to all those who organised this Bee and to all those wonderful members who worked so hard. The sausage sizzle at lunchtime was only a small thankyou for the hard work you accomplished.
