Wynnum members selected for state and national teams

We are super excited to have members of our club chosen for the ACA Golf Croquet Bronze Medal Queensland Event. This includes Gordon, Geoff and Tom, with Brian and Elaine as reserves. We all wish them the greatest success with this event.

Tom and Elaine were also chosen in the State team going to Perth in September, with Geoff as the Team Manager. Go Team Wynnum, we look forward to seeing some super results. We consider ourselves very lucky to have such good players to represent our club.

Our lawns are now looking glorious. There are only a couple of small dry patches, which will green up nicely under the watchful eye of our groundsman.

We had our Gala Day recently and we were thrilled to welcome players from Nambour, Southport, Bribie and Twin Rivers. It was a great day overall and we look forward to meeting them all again in the next comp.

Another sun shelter is to be installed in our grounds shortly to help protect players from the harsh summer sun. We are grateful to Brisbane City Council for allowing us to obtain one of their disused bus shelters. A big thank you must go to our Vice President John for organising this.

If you haven't been down to see our sport or to visit our club, we would like to share with you the fact that we have a super clubhouse available for hire for private parties. Part of the hire fee includes some of our club members showing you and your guests the very basics of croquet, and the use of the equipment.

We look forward to receiving your inquiry and answering your questions.
