Four of our members – Geoff Hull, Brian Tidmarsh, Cameron Hipwell and Gordon Giles – competed in the rescheduled CAQ GC Men's Open Singles, held at Eildon over the weekend.

The tournament featured sixteen players, split into two blocks of eight on Saturday. The top four from each block advanced to the Championship knockout stage. Geoff and Gordon progressed to the Championship, while Brian and Cameron competed in the Plate event.

The Championship final featured a tactical and skilful encounter between Gordon Giles and Bob Martin (Eildon). Bob played exceptionally well, securing victory with scores of 7-6, 7-4 to claim the Pam Shepherd Trophy. In the Plate event, Casey De-Vene (Eildon) emerged as the winner. Both Cameron and Brian performed strongly throughout the three days of competition, achieving several impressive wins.
