Wynnum Ladies Golf Croquet Handicap Singles results

Wynnum Croquet Club held the Ladies Golf Croquet Handicap Singles on Sunday 4 September 2022. The field of 12 players was divided into 2 blocks. It was wonderful to see some of our new members playing in competition for the first time, some being a bit nervous early on but then enjoying every minute. All players had at least 1 win on the day. Roy Brooks put his hand up to assist Gordon in running this tournament, and he did a great job as a knowledgeable and thorough Tournament Manager.

The top player from each block went into the Final. Block A was won by Ann Brooks with 5 wins + 12 hoops. Block B was won by Viv Tidmarsh with 4 wins + 11 hoops. The Final will be played at a later date and the winner will be presented the Dell Nichol Shield at our Christmas party.

Deirdre and Gordon were kept busy as Referees for the day, looking after all the games being played on 4 courts. Some of our ladies provided delicious cakes and goodies – we might all need to go on a diet now!!
