Croquet for everyone at Wynnum

roquet is a sport that caters for everyone. There are four different variations that you could try out: Association croquet, Golf croquet, Ricochet and Gateball. Each variation is played differently, but it doesn't take long to understand the rules of each game. We have experienced coaches who are keen to help you.
It is a sport enjoyed around the world and can be played at a social level, and also at competitive levels.
We encourage you to come and meet us at the club on any Saturday morning from 9am, or by appointment.
CAQ First and Second Eight GC Singles results

The CAQ First & Second Eight GC Singles was played at Headland-Buderim Croquet Club on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th of May, with the players competing in a Double Round Robin event.
In a Double Round Robin, all players play against each other on Saturday and front up again on Sunday and do it all over again. Games were double-banked and timed to 60 minutes.
The winners in both the First and Second Eight weren't decided until the last games on Sunday, which made for a fascinating finale to the tournament.
The winner of the First Eight was Lawrie Simpson (Eildon), with Gordon Giles (Wynnum) as runner-up.
The winner of the Second Eight was Bill Habner (Nambour), with Doug Houston (Headland-Buderim) as runner-up.
Our thanks must go to the host club, Headland-Buderim, and also to all those who helped each day: the Tournament Manager, Referees, hoop setter and all those who worked in the background to make it all happen.
Well done everyone, it was a great weekend.
