Wynnum hosts Renaissance Retirement Village for Valentine's Day croquet

A superb day was had today with our visitors from Renaissance Retirement Village. Not only did we enjoy their great company and good games of croquet, but we had a beautifully sunny day as well.

Renaissance Retirement Village are a major sponsor of our club and we are grateful for their support. It was our absolute pleasure to invite their residents to join us at Wynnum for a day of croquet.

The games were sorted by our Ringmaster Ron, who donned a wonderful top hat adorned with hearts (after all, it was Valentine's Day). Club members were paired off with a different Renaissance player for each game throughout the day, which was great fun.

Lunchtime proved to be a gastronome's delight when we shared delicious ham off the bone and salads of every description, followed by the most amazing desserts. None of this could have happened without the great bunch of people organising the kitchen, serving and cleaning up.

Special thanks must go to Celia & Helen from Renaissance, and to Ron and Pat for organising the day. We certainly look forward to meeting up with this wonderful group of people in the near future.
