Wynnum hosts prestigious Patrons Trophy
Wynnum hosted the three-day national Patrons Trophy with 16 players from Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria. Jim Nicholls took the trophy, with Claire Bassett runner-up.
ur club hosted the Patrons Trophy this weekend, a very prestigious three-day national event, and one we were proud to be involved with.
The first day of play saw rain showers coming through, but the rest of the weekend cleared to superb weather.
The full complement of 16 players (from Qld, NSW and Victoria) provided great excitement with fantastic shots being played.
Our Master hoop setter Jim took apprentice Dianne under his wing to adjust hoops during a game, while eager players, and referee Sue, watched on.
At the end of the competition, our Tournament Manager Bruce presented the winner, Jim Nicholls, who is the ACA representative from Wagga, with his trophy and medal. Runner-up Claire Bassett received her medal as well.
