Wynnum celebrates Christmas and honours Wendy Snowdon

Our club Christmas party was held on Saturday 16 December, and a wonderful day was enjoyed by around forty members and guests, including Clr Peter Cumming. The excellent lunch was organised by new providore, Aina Johns, and several helpers. Thanks to our club members who contributed a great variety of dishes, and to Aina, who ensured that it all ran smoothly.

Our long-time member, Wendy Snowdon, was presented with the plaque and name badge to mark the occasion of her new status as Honorary Life Member. Congratulations Wendy, and thanks for your many years of service to the club.

Thanks also to our members who contributed items for the Christmas raffle and gave up their free time to sell tickets, especially Phyllis Pledger and Wendy Snowdon, who did most of the organising. This is an important fundraiser for the club.
