Wynnum Christmas party and 2024 trophy presentation
Wynnum members gathered for the Christmas party and trophy presentation on Saturday 14 December. Joan Pease MP presented the 2024 shields, and BCC sponsored the ham and chicken.
ur Xmas party and trophy presentation was held on Saturday 14th Dec. A huge number of members turned out, some even having a game or two before the rain tumbled down. Each member brought a plate of food to contribute to the table. BCC sponsored the cost of ham and chicken, so it was a delicious array of food for all to enjoy.
We were very pleased to welcome Joan Pease MP, who presented the shields won throughout 2024.
Winners were:
- Club Champion: Geoff Hull - Handicap Singles: John van Barneveld - Mixed Doubles: Ron Schodel & Karen Meates - Most Improved Player (shared): Patrick Woulahan & Cameron Hipwell - Special Mention: Rita Miles
The rain continued, causing massive puddles on the already drenched courts. Hopefully, they will dry out in time for our next day of play.
We must acknowledge our new Providore Gail, Viv T and her helpers in the kitchen. You all did an amazing job.
