Wynnum celebrates croquet year with Christmas party and trophy presentation
Wynnum Croquet Club ended its year with a Christmas party and Trophy Presentation attended by close to 50 people. Trophies were presented by President John to this year's winners.
oday was our club Christmas party and Trophy Presentation. We were delighted that our Patron Sara Whitmee was able to attend, and also Joan Pease MP, who both gave us their valuable time. It was a pleasure to see them both.
We were thrilled to have 3 of our Life members in attendance, which was a real treat. They all have wonderful memories and stories to relate.
Brisbane City Council kindly donated funds which enabled us to buy ham, chicken and soft drinks for our function, so a big thank you to them. Members were asked to bring food to share, so the tables were full of delicious, tasty salads and fruit.
With close to 50 people in attendance, there was a lot of laughter and conviviality. A very suitable way to end our croquet year.
Trophy presentations were made by our President John to very deserving winners.
