World Croquet Day at Merthyr braves the rain

Q&uot;World Croquet Day celebrations went off without a hitch!"

That is what we might be saying to you if the rains hadn't started to pour down from 2pm! The rains petered out by 3.30, but it was enough to keep many people away, making the afternoon effectively 'a wash'.

Determined, we held fast and celebrated World Croquet Day by persevering through the inclement weather to welcome a dozen newcomers to the sport this afternoon.

Special thanks to club member Bill for handling the food and BBQ this afternoon!
