Windsor pair wins Twin Rivers Go See Touring Mixed Doubles
Carol Kleidon and Jenny Ross-Malone of Windsor won the Twin Rivers Go See Touring Mixed Doubles 7/6 in a tight final. Competitors travelled from across the region to take part.
hat a great tournament the Twin Rivers Go See Touring Mixed Doubles was on Sunday. We were thrilled to have competitors from Bribie Island, Toowoomba, Ipswich, Eildon and Windsor, along with members from our own club, battling the heat and each other for the honour of having their names on the shield.
A little welcome relief from the heat arrived with the sudden onset of the sprinklers that we had forgotten to turn off.
Winners for the day were Carol Kleidon and Jenny Ross-Malone from the Windsor Club, who won their block with five straight wins. Runners-up were our own Maia McGhee and Lesley Barber, also winning their block with five straight wins. The final was a tightly contested game, with the final score being 7/6 to Carol and Jenny.
Congratulations to all, and a big thank you to the sponsors Go See Touring and everyone who helped on the day.
