Windsor August Brooch winners announced

Thankfully the rain stayed away and we were able to hold the Windsor August Brooch. At times there was hardly a cloud in the sky and it was even hot for August. It felt like summer.

Four blocks of 4 players battled it out on the lawns that were a little bit wet in places. Ok, one of the courts was more than a little bit wet. It didn't dampen anyone's enthusiasm though!

Congratulations to our winners:

- Block A: Mike Mabbutt (Eildon) - Block B: Max Kilmister (Windsor) - Block C: Judy Fairclough (Windsor) - Block D: Julie Simpson (Windsor)

Thanks to everyone who helped make the day a great success: hoop setters, line markers, mowers, tournament manager, bakers, referee and of course the players.

We look forward to seeing you at our next Brooch on 20 September.
