Why Thursday night croquet under lights is the best

Playing under lights after dusk gives Wynnum's Thursday evenings a different feel. The dew slows the balls, the air is cooler, and the company is great.

Why Thursday night croquet under lights is the best

hursday evening, played under lights after dusk, is VERY enjoyable. The shadows and lights on the courts give a very different view of play. As the evening dew settles on the grass, the balls slow down a little (after running so quickly during the day), making adjustments to stroke play a necessity. Plus, it is always pleasant to play in the cooler evening temperatures.

Occasionally some will bring along an "elegant snack" with a "soft drink" or two to share with everyone, so great conversation follows with great company.
