est Toowoomba Croquet Club celebrated 100 years on Saturday the 14th of February.

The event was marked with the reopening of the club for the next 100 years by Toowoomba Mayor Geoff McDonald.

Rainy weather did not stop a good attendance, with representatives from the other Darling Downs clubs, CAQ President Michael Eddiehausen, Life Members Russell Belz and Noel Kirby, and Club Patron Graham Barron.

Noel had the task of making the first hoop of the century, with all watching on. The hoop was made and all in attendance gave three cheers, then enjoyed lunch and a piece of cake.
